The Ethereal Muse- How To Be Inspired To Create

The evolution of creation starts with-in your own ability to harness artistic merit.  The creative process can vastly be drawn across a broad spectrum.  It is in YOUR deep personal vision that we hope to ignite your creative muse, give [it] a Creed of Inspiration and traverse [it] down the highway of monetary value.

Ethereal Muse Inspired to Create"There was always the  naysayers but deep was the etching of an artist so deep that, I know, on my very bones is carved my purposed vocation.  Not one that links time or convention but one who genuinely exhibits a sacred creed, a gift that because of the era in which one is born in, the social economic standing one is given, and unconventional means one has to harness- has besieged [its] very existence."

To improve ones "sell-ability", add monetary value and practice your Artistic Medium following along the fast paced high way of niche, brand, and computer compliance ANND then link that to how you relate to the achievability of whipping out creative juice for an average income, an artistic creed needs to be founded on a resilience to consistently hone a craft with the bare expression of the hands in a digital media world.  This can seem...well down right impossible.

One Must Have A Creed Of Inspiration

Developing your Ethereal Muse or COI

Is there technical skill in your art?  Do you need to know an expertise, craft, or vocation to complete your art? If you had a degree what would your art be worth ?

Many expressions of art come from a deep innate vision.  Bringing that vision out and developing it into monetary value in the high-paced digital media can be daunting and quiet frankly is a step that many artists neglect to consider.

Plan Your Creative Process

Ethereal Muse Taking Time for Creative Thought

Spend time in your schedule for creative thought and develop a frame of reason by conceptualizing your inspiration to create.  Write down the steps that you take to create and then put each step in a calendar.  I am usually inspired by nature.  Sitting on my porch or looking out my window.  I sketch my ideas out on paper then, using a data document, I log this idea into a work syllabus and calendar for accountability and focus.

Note to self--> John Freeborn, a visual designer in Dublin, Ireland wrote in his blog-Creating a style Illustration Process-"illustration design that is unique, well considered, and consistent is how he goes about approaching his creative process.

Be prepared to express with your voice the meaning of your art piece- how you created it- and why you created it.  Along with writing down the procedure of your creation and a schedule- I also write the meaning of the art piece.  I have found, by doing so, a sense of artistic merit is developed and a connection to my community is established.  Many of your viewers may relate to your art piece by the description you give.

"As a child growing up in a diverse home in the 70's, a constant creative spirit heralded me towards an innate craving to paint.  My muse, if you will.  Though I had not known it yet, I was embarking on a life journey as an Artist.  The word eluded me then as it does today.  I can recall over the generations the growth and expression my artistic merit has developed in me as I traversed the plain of my imagination coiled up inside the vision of my mind's eye."-

Bring Out Your Best

Ethereal Muse Bring Your Best

Understand your mode of artistic expression or medium, study other artist in your field by putting in your schedule a [Artist Focus] project, and/or try a Best Practice by creating a handful of studies of your ideas before you head into your final masterpiece.  All, of which, has many advantages.  Let's look at a few:

  • Improving your skills and mastering your Artistic Medium increases your value as an artist.

Note to self-->
  • Share Generously with your time, talent, and income that is generated by your sales.  Giving back to the community builds stewardship and it's a blast.  Think about sustainable asset investing in your favorite humanitarian cause, and develop a sound practice of how you will manage your financial wealth.

Another Best Practice is to archive your work.  Yes this is left brained for all us right brainers, but the time you take to do the three tasks below will improve your "sell-ability".  With an average art flow, a minimum of 1 to 2 hours is all you need.

Create a data document of your art portfolio. *NOTES: Before starting the archive process Dr. Mark M Batschkus rolls it out in a highly technical blog post Best Way to Archive Video Files and digital media Assets.  It is prudent to know the definition of backup vs. archive.  This article is one to be archived, pun intended.  I use it for every pre-production form of documentation.

Catalogue  your artwork with a professional style numbering system; the date, medium, title, artist name. Catalogue this information in a data document and link the information to your visual files.  *Notes- I have had fun with this step.  I bought a hard bound large sketch book and journaled my progress-it turned out to be a very special keepsake.

Create a sway-blog-website-social media platform the earlier the better. *NOTES-Don't underestimate this step and ignore the screams for perfection.

Blazen Craft; The Making of an Artist

Blazen Craft is intended to bring voice to the least of these so the expression of a natural artistic ability -the purest form of creation-can be ignited to expand beyond what convention would limit us to be.    " As a child growing up in a diverse British home a constant creative spirit heralded me towards an innated craving to CREATE-to create anything from everything.  This process of creation became my muse, if you will". The Making of an Artist Though I had not known [it] yet, I was embarking on a journey as an Folk Artist.  The words eluded me then as they do today.  I mean- in this modern day of social media, web based design, and digital imagery, how does one claim to be a folk artist and to boot make a monetary value out of it?
