In my line of work, data archiving, and play I have multiple functions for journaling.  When I am in the field collecting data for a particular sustainable impact strategy, on a 10-day travel for inspirational muse, developing a novel, collecting data for marketing campaigns, or simply jotting down allegorical prose journaling both digital and field is the medium I use because it effectively and efficiently networks my voice across multiple platforms.
