Vintage Digital Journaling and Commercial Design is coupling blogging with DIY Journal Templates with Marketing Tools that benefit multiple monetary assets.  When you couple these two Technical Skills you save time, build a valuable asset, and impact the monetary value of your business as well as multiply the value of others.

Journaling has always been, for me, a place of rest where I ignite my deepest thoughts, emotions, true intentions, and intellectual concepts.  Diaries have held a rather similar but ominous past as mentioned in movies, books and even when we have stumbled upon someone else's full of beauty unfolding into a menagerie of happenings.  How do we bring back this powerful Creative Muse and utilize it for a monetary value?

"To find myself I have to first know myself.  Journaling first become a tool for me to better understand myself unlocking important truths about who I really am.  As I delve into creating illustration boards, writing novels, developing a nuance or a vibrant theme- I begin by journaling."

Refers to old school practices where cut images from magazines are added to collections of notions, ribbons, and fabric; keepsakes small enough to paste on the board are balanced and measured with hand drawn font using pica pole and pen creating clip art assets and allegorical prose.

Create Theme or Nuance for a Digital Journal

The Best Practice is to absorb your self into the subject.  Let's use "Vintage Summer" as  a title to our theme throughout our lesson.

  1. Ask yourself, what does "Vintage Summer" mean to me?
  2. Collect images, prose, and font that best represents what you envision in your mind.  I like to use Pinterest:  a.) Create Board with title "Vintage Summer" then b.) develop the theme by c.) utilizing pinners vocation expertise.  Visit the sites that are your favs. and PLAN TO PURCHASE their wares. Remember you will need digital images, notions, borders, technical text and prose.  I budget for these resources and plan to spend $60.00 each blog.
  3. I use a Journal Blog Template on my laptop. Coming up with a data document will keep you on track.  A lot of time can be wasted as you write, edit, change text and topic while searching for perfection too soon.
  4. Or you can draft your journal with a notebook and pen.  Rough out a title, introduction, premise, allegorical prose, heading and 3-4 subheadings with technical text. Search for color scheme and design elements using a story board.

How to create a digital Journal using BLOGGER

Best Practice is to start with the basics by researching how to blog.  The resources blow are the top three pro's that I found who gave me THE BEST guidance on how to start a blog, understand the technical requirements, and long-term technical support.

  1. Meet JoJo@travelingpetitegirl.com an amazing light hearted super intelligent young woman with a drive for bringing out the best in you.  She has multiple YouTube video's, downloadable checklists, and a FABULOUS personal touch.  Don't take my word for it.  Simply click the link and get involved.  You must do the 10 Day successful Blog Guide.  A hot commodity that I keep for my reference.   2. Google workspace education is a must.  I took 7 days, 1 hour a day, with Steve Dotto @ Dotto Tech  I love this guy.  He has excellent YouTube video's that explain all things Google.  I learned so much. There is an investment value to partner with Google since the platform for your voice will be on Blogger. it is imperative to learn as much as you can about Google aps, software, and technical aspects of the web. Steve has amazing You Tube videos, Free webinars, and a reasonable subscription rate for his business webinars. 
  3. Then there is the Step by Step Blogger Tutorial for beginners with Cory at  Surfside PPC.  Yes it is long but full of very good hands on details on how to set up your blog.  Thanks to Surfside PPC I developed a Vintage Digital Journal Blogger Template. I continue to use his free resources and plan to pay the very reasonable fee to utilize all that he has to offer.    

Take it a Step Further and Create a Commercial Design

Literally what you are doing here is linking the assets that you purchased into your digital journal based on the four items below:

  1. Technical
  2. Sub-Niche
  3. Sales
  4. Sustainable Impact Investing

By linking 3-4 resources that substantiate your Technical Text you establish accountability and share the monetary gain there is when a blog is visited.  Also, by connecting with a sub-niche you are networking your sales on a broader platform and multiplying views. 
Including Sustainable Impact Investing or point of Humanitarian Interest you give back to the community and develop good stewardship.
